What is a tye*?

tye* is a personal theft-deterrent security system. It can be used as an alarm to protect electronic goods such as phones, tablets and laptops, or passive objects such as luggage, pet collars, baby strollers, bicycles—even gates! The tye* is not a simple lock – it’s a deterrent device you can take anywhere with you. tye* is the most portable, versatile, and reliable security system accessible today.

Why do we need a tye*?

A mechanical lock is not safe enough because it can easily be broken without anyone’s notice.

tye* addresses this problem by alerting you every time someone is trying to remove or tamper with your belongings.

The alerts are delivered on two levels: a strong alarm is triggered locally at the site of tampering, as well as through the remote device (tye*’s own remote, or your smart device operating the tye* app).

How does it work?

The tye* attaches to electronic devices through a USB port. For objects such as luggage, tye* is tied through a looping cable. Once it is attached, you can easily activate tye* either through its keypad or by its remote device, and you’re good to go! If it is moved, unplugged or tampered with in any way, it will sound an alarm locally and through the remote device.

The tye* security system supports both a long range communication as well as the short range Bluetooth protocol. tye* can be paired with a smart device through provided apps in short range Bluetooth communications. However, to overcome the Bluetooth distance limitation, tye* comes with its own pairing remote device for longer range communication.

tye* your laptop

Plug tye* directly into the USB, and activate it using the keypad or the monitor. A motion sensor will sound the alarm on tye* as well as the monitor if anyone tampers with your laptop.

tye* your luggage

Objects such as luggage, briefcases, strollers, etc. can be protected by creating a loop anchored to something heavy (like a table) and plugged into the tye*.

Got a furry friend who likes to wonder? Make sure they wear a tye* when they’re out and about. If either tye* is detached or they get out of a safe distance, the alarm will sound on the monitor.
